Beginners Courses
Beginners courses can consist of four 90 minute session. Fast track courses can also be arranged with a coach following a booked taster session. Please have a read of our FAQ for more details about the course.
Course Objectives
The main objectives of our initial training is for you to be able to shoot safely and unsupervised at 20 yards. Advanced techniques, competition practice and scoring will be covered when you have developed basic skills to a good standard. We have experienced members currently shooting at county level who will be happy to provide help and guidance when asked. The only limitations to successful shooting will be the time and effort you are prepared to put into the sport.
After completing the course, for you to continue shooting with us you will need to officially join the club and be affiliated to Archery GB for your insurance, which we will arrange for you.
As mentioned before, for you to progress as an archer you will eventually need your own equipment. You can rent out club bows until you are ready to commit to your own equipment. We can provide advice when you are ready to purchase your equipment so that your bow is matched to your individual requirements.
Costs
£150 per-person for a fast-track course.
£120 per-person for a group course.
